October and November always tends to be quieter months before the Christmas madness but last month we made sure that our comms campaigns continued to engage members and increase upgrades. Keep reading to find out the results of this month.
Photo upload incentive
Between the 6th and 8th of October we encouraged members in all networks to upload a photo to be in with a chance of winning one months free membership - the campaign theme was to ‘grin and win’! Between these dates, photo submissions increased by 32%.
Profile update prompt
On October the 11th, we sent a variety of tips to members in all networks to help them complete their profiles. These tips included starting by describing your best attributes, to discuss what you’re looking for in a partner and to invite matches to message you. This increased profile submissions by 10%.
Our Offer of a Lifetime
Between the 13th and 16th of October we sent out a huge campaign to encourage users to upgrade. This offer was to upgrade their memberships for three months for £9.99! For this campaign, we saw a 130% increase in upgrades and a 340% increase in re-initials. To promote this offer on site, we used our new on-site promotions tool which increased uptakes by around 33% over the old Intercom system.
Halloween discounted membership
To encourage members to upgrade over the Halloween weekend, we offered a 50% discount on members to all basic members. We used the new ‘lightbox’ on-site promotion tool to promote this which increased uptakes by approximately 100% over Intercom. This offer contributed to a 35% increase in upgrades during this period and a 86% increase in re-initials.
Next month is going to be manic for comms campaigns, especially towards the end of the month. We’ll be doing all that we can to encourage members to upgrade their memberships during the season of love. Keep your eyes peeled for what’s to come!
