A few months ago we introduced PT Engine, an all-in-one analytics tool that lets you see exactly what your users are doing on the page. The aim was to provide you with more information about how people are using your site.
The quality of your traffic can be determined by a number of different factors; the quality of your campaigns, your landing pages and the approach you take to targeting your traffic, for example, via keywords or niching your campaigns to specific territories. The source of your traffic also plays a part, however, your approach is vital in getting your traffic to convert.
One of the main reasons members don’t convert from a basic membership to a paying membership is because poor quality traffic is being driven to your site. By providing high quality advertising to the right people in the right places, members will be more likely to pay for the service.
At White Label Dating, we’re committed to offering our partners the best tools to grow their online dating businesses. That’s why we held the first in a series of workshops hosted by our internal optimisation team, WALDO, this week.

The thing about agile is that to do it properly, we need to be... agile! A one size fits all approach just doesn’t work. That means adapting textbook practices to suit the needs of your own development team and the wider business. The Agile Manifesto and principles are guidelines which help us ensure we’re practicing good Scrum. But how the values are implemented differ from business to business and even from team to team.
We’re always exploring ways to enhance our platform and keep our partners in the loop about the changes we’re making to help them grow their dating businesses. That’s why we use velocity as part of our Agile process.

At the end of 2013, we started an experimental trial using live chat software with our customers on a selected number of sites. This allows a website visitor to communicate in real time with a member of staff to help answer any immediate questions. It was well received by users and helped address their questions regarding the various payment options, which lead to higher conversions. Investing in one of these products and the staff needed to support it is a fairly major consideration, but after trying different products and undertaking analysis of the impact and results, it was clear - live chat was the future. As a consequence, we appointed Alex Basheer in January, who had been one of the stars of the Retention team, to set up, hire and manage our team of Live Support Representatives, and we subsequently rolled out the live chat function across the full network of sites.
