With Christmas being one of the busiest times of the year in the dating calendar, November gave us a fantastic opportunity to increase member engagement ready for online dating's peak season.Here’s a round up of what members received in November...
Black Friday offer
Our Black Friday offer that was available to members across all major territories on both our Mainstream and Casual networks offered members a 40% discount on their membership. The offer resulted in a massive +94% increase in daily initials and a huge +79% increase in re-initials contributing to record-breaking month on month growth in the number of paying subscribers on the WLD platform since 2017.
Throughout November, members were offered a 50% discount. The discount went out to all basic members and contributed towards a +43% increase in overall upgrades.
On the 8th November and 22nd November we sent out a 'Free Read' opportunity to basic members across all territories and networks, allowing members to read messages for free for a limited period of time. The on-site engagement results have blown us away. We saw a whopping +230% increase in free messages. Members online peaked at +170% and unique daily logins increased by +20%.
Throughout November, we sent out engagement prompts to remind members to update their profiles and upload some new photos! It's vital for members to keep their profile up to date to increase their chances of finding their perfect match.
As a result of this encouragement, overall we saw photo uploads increase by +24%, Q&A prompt increase by +27% and Encounters engagement increase by a huge +61%!
