Learn how one entrepreneur used his digital marketing skills to grow his online dating network to house 200+ location-niche sites.

Background

Andy Hammonds, owner of Bright Day Ltd, first became a White Label Dating partner in 2008. After meeting his partner on an online dating site, Andy’s love affair with the dating industry began. As a Business Analyst and Consultant for web startups, Andy’s online expertise made the white label model ideal for utilising his existing skills. Andy started his dating portfolio as a high revenue generating side hustle.  After nine months, and achieving considerable return on his investment,  Andy launched Bright Day Ltd and dating became his full-time day job.

The first site Andy launched was MumsDateDads.co.uk. A niche dating site catering for single parents, the site was instantly a success. Since then, Andy has gone on to launch over 250 sites on the White Label Dating platform.

In 2013, Andy launched SinglesNear.Me, capitalising on the dot.anything domains and White Label Dating’s advanced postcode search functionality which allows members to connect with people in their local area. With acquisition costs low for niche sites and more targeting opportunities available, the SinglesNear.Me brand was well placed to provide its members with a targeted online dating experience. Typically, the more targeted the site, the lower the acquisition cost and the higher the conversion rate – meaning higher revenue margins.map-singles-near-meWhite Label Dating collaborated with Andy to pioneer the expansion of SinglesNear.Me across the UK, Australia and the USA. To this day, Andy works closely with his partner manager to test price points to ensure maximum subscription uptake, as well as to frequently update and refresh a successful cross-registration strategy across his portfolio. Cross-selling is a free on-site method that ensures increased ROI by offering  members an alternate niched dating offering if they don't subscribe on the original site that they join. 

White Label also supports Andy with advanced website hosting and SSL certificates through the use of our WLD Design Tool. We offer all Partners access to this, including free hosting and SSL. The tool encompasses a large number of fully responsive tried and tested dating templates ready to populate with content, colours and images. Andy ensures he is using this free tool to it's maximum potential giving him more money to invest in his traffic acquisition. 

Using the free Design Tool and the White Label Dating platform, Andy has thrived in launching sites optimised for desktop, mobile and tablet use, allowing him to fulfil the demand for mobile dating globally.

I’ve now been running my dating sites on the White Label Dating platform since 2008. After nine months of working with them, my sites were doing so well that I managed to leave my job to work full time on my dating business. I now have multiple sites in the UK, Ireland, Australia, USA, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa.
